Since 2014, as a part of its commitment to local outreach, SuperHealth has been offering pro bono counseling services to individuals dealing with substance use disorder and other issues. The services are provided by SuperHealth's Founder and Director, Mukta Khalsa, PhD. The counseling services include referrals from Rio Arriba County in New Mexico, as part of a diversion program operated by the court system.

Through this partnership with Rio Arriba County, counseling services are provided at no cost to the clients. In most cases, the beneficiaries of this program have had no prior experience with yoga or meditation. As part of their therapy, most clients choose to receive instruction in SuperHealth's yoga-based techniques for healing and transforming behaviors. SuperHealth's methodology is based on meeting people where they are and providing them with simple tools that can have a profound effect. The clients have self-reported significant transformation. Positive outcomes include keeping up with therapy, substance use reduced or stopped altogether, no further arrests.
