Sound and Mantra

Mantras are used in Kundalini Yoga to create a rhythm with the breath. This trains you to breathe slowly and deeply.

The vibrational energy of mantras reshapes consciousness, reprograms haunting thoughts and memories, and brings spiritual awareness. Incorporated with the breath, mantra cuts the mindset and enables the ability to go beyond mental thoughts of excuses and rationalizations.

Over time, these efforts slowly build stamina, determination and the ability to face life with “grit” and courage. In practical terms, with a stronger nervous system you can make life changes and have the ability to progress through life as a wiser, more confident and contained person.

“As thoughts constantly come to you from the intellect, so do desires. Anytime you desire something and want to get rid of that impulse, inhale and hold the breath. The moment you do, thoughts and desires stop; the impulse is cut.”

“Only you can control your breath. When you do not control your breath consciously, every breath you breathe unconsciously is wasted.  Each person’s life is measured in breaths. Normally you breathe fifteen breaths per minute. If you take one breath per minute, you can live fifteen times longer.”
