Celestial Communication: a Song and Dance to Relieve Stress

Celestial Communication is incorporated in many Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations. SuperHealth training focuses on Celestial Communication as a tool for repatterning thought processes and relieving stress. It can lift people out of darkness and provide a creative, therapeutic release from anxiety and self-defeating behaviors.

There is a common phrase, “When nothing else works, try Celestial Communication.” But why wait? Consider becoming friends with it sooner and making it a regular part of your healing journey.

Celestial Communication is choreographed movement of the arms, hands and fingers to the rhythm of uplifting music or Kirtan. Interweaving the hands through the air is believed to stimulate nerve endings and create a relaxing effect on the brain. Combined with mantra and music, the practice induces a sense of calm and comfort. Feelings of greater self-worth naturally follow.

There are many videos and examples of Celestial Communication available, but the beauty of the practice is that you can create your own version – choosing a mantra that resonates with you and a movement that feels right.

For those who want more guidance, here are the steps for a popular Celestial Communication using Antar Naad mantra:

Saa ray saa saa, saa ray saa saa, saa ray saa saa, saa rung
Har ray har har, har ray har har, har ray har har, har rung

  • Sit in easy pose - the spine is straight, shoulders are relaxed. Hands are pressed together in prayer position at the navel point.

  • Begin chanting and slowly raising the arms. The base of the palms remain touching, as do the tips of the Mercury fingers (pinkie) and thumbs. The remaining fingers spread – forming open lotus position when the hands reach the brow. At this point, you’ve completed the first line of the mantra – Saa ray saa saa, saa ray saa saa, saa ray saa saa, saa rung.

  • As you start the second part of the mantra, reverse the hand position and begin a downward movement with the back of the hands touching. Keep the same pace and guide the mudra down the centre line of the body until you reach the navel and have completed the second stanza – Har ray har har, har ray har har, har ray har har, har rung.

  • Form prayer pose again and repeat the movement, mantra and hand positions. Continue for 11 minutes.

This version of Antar Naad is especially potent on the Full Moon. It helps you have clarity to make the right choices for you.
